About Creations by Caitlin

Hello, and welcome to the shop! I'm Caitlin, and I began this business on my own in October of 2021 after a lot of soul-searching and self-reflecting. I graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2016 with my BSED in English Education, and I attended Mercyhurst University for my Masters in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis from 2017-2019. I graduated twice, and have still not completely figured out what I want to do with my life. The teaching profession was not the right fit for me, so I had to think of what I truly loved to do, and I realized that I had neglected all of the skills I had learned in one of my favorite classes: Art.

I happened upon a few Instagram pages of resin and polymer clay artists, so I decided to teach myself how to make earrings using these mediums for the better part of 2021. I thought my creativity was lost until I started to try new things and learn again. Creating earrings has given me the confidence to pursue art again, and trust me when I say that my first few pairs were HIDEOUS! I tried and tried again to make them look better, and it took me 2 years to finally feel confident enough to sell my earrings. I never imagined the amount of support I received, and I had to begin learning the basics of starting my own LLC and running a business on the side.

It feels so good to finally have found happiness again in life by creating, and I want to share that with others. I think it is so important to remember what makes life truly beautiful: love, passion, and creativity.

I love what I am doing now more than I ever have, and I cannot wait to share this journey I've set out on with others. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions!
